intro to internet

i recently read the first chapter about internet history. I did not realize how far back the web goes. The development of the internet goes as far back as the 1960s. I learned many ways people use the internet whether its email, social net working, or just surfing the web people use it for so many reasons.

  i learned about ARPANET, which started as a brief experiment in 1965 in which a computer in massachusetts was connected to a computer in california. this showed that running programs and sharing data on a remote computer was possible and that telephone circuits were to slow for this operation. leonard kleinrock made a plan  to use packet switching and then called the network of computers ARPANET.
